Short Bio
Dr. Hamid Reza Marateb is a globally recognized biomedical engineering expert with core competencies in signal processing, machine learning, and AI for digital health. With over two decades of academic and industrial experience, he leads pioneering projects that bridge biostatistics, medical informatics, and AI for real-time healthcare applications.

Professional Background
Dr. Marateb received his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University (2000), M.Sc. from AmirKabir University (2003), and European Ph.D. from Politecnico di Torino (2010). He has held key research roles at Stanford University, Aalborg University, and UPC Barcelona. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Isfahan and Senior Researcher at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Spain.

Dr. Hamid Reza Marateb is an expert in medical device regulations, with a strong focus on the European Union Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR 2017/745). His expertise spans Post-Market Surveillance (PMS), Post-Market Clinical Follow-up (PMCF), and Clinical Investigations, where he designs and evaluates regulatory-compliant plans in alignment with ISO 14155 and MEDDEV guidance. He has led the integration of AI-based tools for real-world evidence generation, safety monitoring, and clinical performance assessment. Dr. Marateb is also recognized for his leadership in AI regulation for medical devices, ensuring algorithm transparency, validation, and lifecycle management in compliance with MDR requirements. His work supports the safe and effective deployment of AI-driven health technologies within regulatory frameworks.
