Background and aims: Implementing an ethical system in the behavior of AI systems does not simply require abstract intelligence, but also a specific form of human and artificial intelligence. Intelligent agents have distinctive features and actions such as being singular, complex, specialized, persistent, and autonomous. The human moral code is irreparably flawed: it is a moral code of accountability (not responsibility), and a lack of complete freedom that cannot be compensated for by inventing ethical systems, ideal values, and moral education. Intelligence, however, gives a conscience and even a soul to the machine. In this article, by expressing the concept and conceptualization of ethical intelligence and referring to the characteristics of artificial intelligent agents, the harms of applying ethical rules to intelligent agents as well as the progress towards ethical artificial intelligence are pointed out and the most important challenges of implementing ethical intelligence in AI are analyzed and analyzed. Methods: This study is a review. To collect information, evidence searches were used in the Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases using the keywords artificial intelligence, ethics, and medical sciences. Results: Ethical issues related to artificial intelligence include: disruption of social justice, algorithmic bias, data safety , respect for human dignity, informed consent, error and compensation, the principle of individual autonomy, complete allocation of treatment, emotional labor, data confidentiality, and privacy. Conclusion: The use of artificial intelligence can create a huge impact in all areas of medical sciences, but it is necessary to pay attention to the establishment of evaluation committees in educational, medical, and health centers to review compliance with ethical principles, safety, human dignity, and data confidentiality.
