Background and aims: The convergence of gamification and artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of digital health has garnered significant international cooperation and increased scholarly attention in recent times. Despite this, a comprehensive exploration of the key countries, organizations, and productive authors in this field of study is still underdeveloped. Using citation network analysis and coincidence pattern detection methods, this study aims to map systematically the patterns of research, key contributors, and thematic patterns. The results will provide insights into the existing communities of study and cooperation structures in this field.Method: For increasing awareness regarding lines of study on digital health, gamification, and machine learning, a bibliometric study was done. Online sources were used to obtain the used data. There is still no in-depth appraisal of top countries, institutions, and major authors in this field of study. Citation co-network and co-occurrence indicators are used to identify through this study to systematically outline lines of study, major authors, and thematic patterns. Through this study, it is expected that influential lines of study and collaborating networks in this field of study would be obtained. Results: The bibliometric analysis showed that the United States, United Kingdom, and India are the leading countries in artificial intelligence, gamification, and digital health research, with strong international collaborations. Within institutions, the Department of Dermatology at the Medical University of Vienna showed the greatest research influence. Top authors, such as Malvehy J and Puig S, had a strong influence on co-authorship network formation. Citation analysis showed that individual publications gained a high number of citations, while co-word mapping of keywords uncovered recurring topics, with "Artificial Intelligence," "Machine Learning," and "Digital Health" being the top terminologies. The studies are structured around five major clusters of studies that show interdisciplinary links. The findings provide a thorough overview of international research production, co-authorship patterns, and thematic evolution within this area. Conclusion: Employing citation patterns and coincidence networks methodologies, this research endeavors to map research areas, major contributors and recipients, and thematic evolution. Findings provide insight into primary collections and co-authorship writing networks in the field.
