Abstract

Introduction: With the advancement of artificial intelligence in medical sciences, its utilization in nursing care has become a necessity. While this technology enhances the quality of nursing services, it also presents certain challenges. Therefore, assessing its impacts and obstacles is essential for improving care programs. Method: In this review study, the keywords "Nursing care" and "Artificial Intelligence" were searched in the PubMed and Scopus databases to retrieve full-text English-language articles with Searched in the time period 2020-2025.Articles relevant to the study’s objective were included, and ultimately, 12 articles were reviewed. Articles without full-text access were excluded. Result: Artificial Intelligence technology in nursing has led to positive outcomes, including faster access to patient information, improved decision-making and nursing diagnoses, enhanced patient education, and higher-quality healthcare services. Moreover, This innovative technology can reduce human intervention in specific nursing tasks, thereby minimizing nursing errors and lowering healthcare costs. also, reducing nurses' workload allows them to dedicate more time to research and effective patient interactions. However, despite its numerous benefits, Artificial Intelligence presents certain challenges. These include potential breaches of patient privacy due to technological vulnerabilities, reduced human interaction in nursing care, and the possible perpetuation of human and social biases within Artificial Intelligence -driven healthcare systems. Conclusion: Although AI has the potential to enhance healthcare quality and improve access to medical information, it may also exacerbate healthcare disparities and compromise patient privacy. Therefore, the integration of AI into nursing requires careful evaluation and management of its positive and negative implications by the nursing community. Further research is recommended to identify existing challenges and develop appropriate solutions.
