Abstract
Background: One of the most common psychological disorders is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). An emerging approach to manage and treat ADHD is technology especially smartphone, mobile application. Applications platforms have the potential advantages in terms of accessibility and personalization along with tracking of patients' status live. The aim of current study is to evaluate the mobile applications which can be used as tools that can help in diagnosing and treating ADHD, and patients. Method: A narrative review methodology with scoping review form was used in conducting a cross-sectional applied study on databases (PubMed, Scopus and Google Scholar) through the search criteria (ADHD or mobile application) without date restrictions. The articles were initially screened for full titles and abstracts, and thereafter selected articles were assessed. Result: Among the ... articles searched, ... articles met the inclusion criteria. The retrieved articles indicated that mobile applications can serve as useful tools in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD and may also contribute to enhancing the quality of life for patients. Additionally, they can lead to positive changes in the neural activities and behaviors of children with ADHD and intellectual disabilities (ID), as well as significant improvements in adherence to medications Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that by leveraging mobile technology and designing personalized programs, significant improvements in the management of ADHD can be offered to affected individuals. integrating rewards with mobile digital health solutions positively influence treatment adherence in ADHD.
