Aim: Application cases of artificial intelligence in improving and increasing the quality of nursing care. Background: In general, artificial intelligence includes a machine that has the ability to recognize, think and create solutions like humans. However, artificial intelligence can be utilized in health and medical sciences, and today it is used, albeit limitedly, in the areas of diagnosis and education for patients at the bedside. Methods: A systematic review was conducted in the PubMed, google scholar, connected papers following the PRISMA guidelines. Results: A total of 21 articles were selected for the review. Artificial intelligence has various applications in nursing, including disease diagnosis and clinical decision-making to address patient issues. AI-based systems in nursing are used for patient monitoring, such as the automatic assessment of vital signs and optimizing workflows among nurses, as well as effectively utilizing AI for patient education and imaging. Conclusion: Through a comprehensive analysis of recent studies and case examples, this review aims to provide a nuanced understanding of the promising benefits and potential obstacles of AI adoption in nursing care, ultimately proposing a framework for effective integration into clinical practice. As the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, sustained collaboration between technology developers and nursing professionals will be essential to fully harness the benefits of AI while maintaining the core values of compassion and human-centered care.
