In an era marked by unprecedented and profound technological transformations, where the boundaries of knowledge expand at an ever-increasing speed, artificial intelligence has emerged as one of the primary drivers of this change, holding an unparalleled position. As always, the wise and visionary Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei (may God protect him), with profound foresight, has described the strategic significance of this technology as follows:
"Today, artificial intelligence is advancing at an astonishing pace... Merely utilizing AI is not an advantage; this technology has deep layers in which mastery is essential."
To realize this vision and in accordance with the Leader’s emphasis on progress in scientific and technological fields, the Smart University of Medical Sciences is honored to host the “Second International Congress on Artificial Intelligence in Medical Sciences” from December 18-20 of this year.
The remarkable success of the first Congress, held in May 2023, with the participation of over 1,000 attendees, the presentation of more than 400 scientific papers, and the active involvement of universities and knowledge-based companies in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital health, testifies to the significance and prominent status of this field in advancing the scientific and technological goals of our beloved country.
The “Second International Congress on Artificial Intelligence in Medical Sciences” offers a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and collaboration among domestic and international experts, the sharing of the latest scientific achievements, and the creation of a strategic link between academia, industry, and health policymakers. We believe this scientific event can play a critical role in charting new horizons for our nation’s health system and in enhancing the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the realm of advanced medical technologies.
